I first saw a poster for Doña Diabla in a shop here in Austin called Tesoro's and quickly became obsessed with classic Mexican cinema and the woman with the immaculate eyebrows, Maria Félix. Ms. Félix is one of the muses and inspirations in "Too Much Heaven," a novel set in modern day San Diego (the San Diego of last week and probably next weekend). She figures large in a conversation between Archangels Michael and Uriel. Take a moment to witness her performance, her grace, and her perfect eyebrows.
